Post conflicting goals?
I want to increase my cardio endurance and also buildx strength.

I'm currently doing cardio one day and weights the next. Are these contradictory goals? Should I just be focusing on one?

It's fine to do both. Cardio may slow down strength gains a tiny bit. Weight training may slow down cardio a tiny bit. If they do, and it is an "if", then it'll be so small that it's not worth worrying about.

I'm doing more or less the same thing- I want to be (much) stronger, but I'm painfully aware that my body is no longer that of a 17 year old hiking addict. My current theory is that with my body as unconditioned as it is, I can ignore the whole bulking up and cutting up phase thingie and just work out until it stops hurting as much. Sort of a 'toughening up' phase.
