So, how big are these deep dish pizzas, anyway? Are they the size of a normal large pizza? I'm not sure if I could eat more than a slice or two of many of the pizzas I've seen pics of. How tall are these things, generally?

Pineapple on pizza.

Yes, or No?

MY EYES! DAMN your blasphemous hide! Next you'll be asking me about BBQ chicken pizza.... why I oughta.... :box: :nunchuck:

While I thank you for the "blasphemous hide" remark, I too am of the "it don't forkin' belong" camp when it comes to pineapple.

Pineapple is like peppers and sweetcorn... last resorts when you run out of meats as toppings...

Just forkin' NO!!!

A GOOD one is probably near 2 inches tall at the crust and 18" around...

Just out of morbid curiousity, aside from the generic "Hawaiian", how many other pizzas does pineapple come on? I know I'm going to regret asking but I have to know. I can't imagine it going on a supreme pizza or even a cheese or pepperoni pizza.

So, is there a legendary "THE place to get pizza" in Chicago?

Ask ten people, get ten answers.

The hotspots though are:

Gino's East
Edwardo's
Giordano's
Uno's

But those are all actual sit down restaurants. If you want a solidly good delivery/takeout pie

Papa Savario's
Rosati's

Anything else is considered dormroom quality, drunk with $5 in your pocket, crap...

Uno's isn't our "BEST" pie but its more than likely worth the trip - of course provided the franchise owner isnt a dipshit and knows how to make a pizza...

At least it looks like they have a heap of other food, too. I hear ya on the franchise owner bit. I'm hoping we'll get lucky. Of course, if not, and they put a heap of garlic on it, then I'll have my revenge before we leave....mmmwwwaahhhahahahahaaaaaa... :ohyeah:

Mikey's skin will also begin to sparkle whenever he's in direct sunlight. And he's partial to brooding and angsty teen like moments.

Post Re: Lets Talk Pizza..
I've never had true authentic Chicago Pizza, now I have been to a place or two that say it's Windy City Pizza but I have no base to go on but in all honestly if their Pizza is anything close to the real Windy City pizza I would question the quality in a heart beat.

I'm Cajun so food for me is a right of life. I have eaten stuff that would gag most people so when it comes to food I can be very critical and even down right rude about it. I moved to Texas and it was the first time I truly understood what Cajun food was all about. The people who say real Cajun food have no clue what Cajun food is. I love Craw-fish and I eat them as much as I can but here in Texas, Craw-fish are boiled Craw-fish with a seasoning sprinkled over them. Man I was like no f-n way. Anyway, I'm going to start travailing the country here soon, I want to try food from places that it was born from not mimicked. I have had some good pizza from a place called Tower Pizza in New Orleans, if Chicago Pizza is better or even close I will be in heaven.

With all the gym time I'll need all the calories I can get my hands on LOL!
